This position serves as the Senior Emergency Coordinator, Physical Security Coordinator, and a member of the Secretary of Transportation's Emergency Response Team. These duties include assisting with the administration and promulgation of emergency management and safety guidance; coordination and engagement in the Office of the Secretary/departmental safety and intelligence matters; and implementation of National Response Program policies and procedures for FTA.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Emergency Coordinator Specialist: Directs, manages, and oversees all aspects of the FTA Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery Program, including planning and implementation activities, consistent with current Federal requirements, policies, directives, and guidance. Serves as FTA's Physical Security Coordinator and Intelligence Liaison to OST. Develops, administers and coordinates FTA's Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program and Plan.
Serves as FTA's primary representative to the National Exercise Program. The ideal candidate for this position is a senior-level professional with strong leadership skills to execute and manage an agency's Federal continuity of operations, emergency management, and national response programs.
