Job Summary
This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), Capital Markets and Accounting Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and responsible for providing support in all pertinent matters relating to capital market risk management and regulatory capital requirements in financial institutions. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.
Key Responsibilities
Serves as project leader in the development of agency and/or interagency policy,procedures, regulations and supervisory guidance. Develops capital regulations and interpretations governing capital markets related and trading and derivatives activities. Evaluates complex securities and develops recommended actions for purposes of safety and soundness.
Performs financial and economic analyses to identify sources of capital markets risk in financial institutions that must be measured and/or monitored by the regulatory agencies. Keeps abreast of trends and developments in the field of finance, economics and law related to financial institutions. Keeps abreast of trends and developments in portfolio management and trading strategies utilized by financial institutions.
