The Division of Investment Management's Rulemaking Office seeks a Senior Special Counsel (Attorney-Adviser) in the Investment Company Regulation Office to lead Investment Company Act rulemaking, provide expert legal and policy analysis, develop recommendations and rule text, manage complex regulatory projects, and coordinate across the Commission and with external stakeholders to advance key regulatory initiatives.
In this role as an Attorney-Adviser, you will be responsible for: Advising and leading teams through all stages of the rulemaking process, including policy development, producing proposing or adopting releases and related materials, and engaging with senior management in the Division and the Commissioners and their staff, as well as with staff of other Commission divisions and other federal agencies; Autonomously handling a number of rulemaking projects and serve as a subject matter expert in the Division and the Commission; and Consulting and coordinating regulatory policy with staff across the Division and throughout the Commission and other federal agencies and intergovernmental working groups, as well as the public and industry representatives.
