Job Summary

This vacancy is for a GS-0101-13, Sexual Assault Prevention, Response and Recovery (SAPRR) Program Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Workforce and Family Service Directorate, SAPRR Oversight & Policy Office, in Norfolk, VA

Key Responsibilities

You will serve as a Sexual Assault Prevention Response and Recovery Program Coordinator and be responsible for serving as the Sexual Assault Prevention, Response and Recovery Program Coordinator (SAPRR PC). Assists the WFSC Sexual Assault Prevention, Response and Recovery Service Line Manager (SAPRR SLM) and the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program Manager (SAPRR PM) located in Commandant (CG WFS-3) in implementing the SAPRR Program..

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Providing expert programmatic technical guidance and compliance monitoring to Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARC) and Victim Advocate Program Specialist (VAPS). Conducting comprehensive Quality Assurance Inspections to evaluate the SAPRR Program's compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Developing written SAPRR technical directives grounded in the National Defense Authorization Act, Coast Guard Authorization Act, and COMDINST 1754.10 series for the SAPPR workforce to execute its prevention, response, and recovery mission. Serving as the primary SAPRR data analyst, analyzing sensitive sexual assault data from multiple sources.

Serving as the point of convergence between the Department of War, Coast Guard SAPRR Program Office and the SAPRR workforce synchronizing. This position does have a positive education requirement.
