This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service position This National Guard position is for a Social Worker, Position Description Number T5012000 and is part of the NJ MEDICAL COMMAND, New Jersey Army National Guard.
As a SOCIAL WORKER, GS-0185-12, you will: Develop coordinated plans for reducing risk factors for individuals. Conduct population-based behavioral health surveillance to examine trends and further develop targeted prevention and mitigation strategies. Prepare written evaluation reports with clinical impressions and recommendations. Conduct needs assessments, intake evaluations, and psycho-diagnostic assessments. Ensure that program metrics comply with applicable DOD policies, Army Regulations, National Guard guidance, policy letters, and other official guidance. Accomplish intake interviews to include family history, bio-psychosocial history, developmental and health histories. Coordinates and implements prevention and education programs. Provide consultation, education, and training to military and non-military health care professionals concerning behavioral health policy, psychological fitness, and primary and secondary prevention programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and acceptable to The Surgeon General.
