Job Summary

The Social Worker (Program Coordinator) - Whole Health Program Manager oversees the full development, implementation, and management of the Whole Health System (WHS) within the Atlanta VA Health Care System. The role combines administrative leadership, program planning, supervision, clinical consultation, staff training, and quality improvement to promote Veteran wellness through Whole Health approaches such as integrative therapies, health coaching, self-care education programming.

VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Duties may include but not limited to: Develop, plan, implement, and manage WHS policies, procedures, and initiatives. Supervise Whole Health staff (e.g., coaches, nutritionists, therapy supervisors, admin officer). Oversee training quality, workforce development, and evidence-based Whole Health practices. Monitor data-driven outcomes; ensure compliance with VA, VISN, and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, CARF). Maintain partnerships with VISN offices and community organizations supporting Whole Health. Complete required program evaluations and documentation. Facilitate interdepartmental coordination and linkages with other VA health programs. Provide Whole Health education, wellness coaching, and self-care curriculum (mindfulness, stress reduction, etc.). Provide education on Whole Health and integrative modalities to staff. Train and supervise students, interns, and fellows across disciplines. Offer clinical consultation to VA staff and community providers. Practice independently with full clinical privileges and accountability for patient care decisions. Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
