This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Conducting behavioral health and mental health biopsychosocial assessments B. Making sound professional judgments regarding clinical impressions, treatment approaches, and treatment planning C. Serves on supervisor approved committees, work groups, and task forces at the local facility, VISN or national level. Collaborates in performance improvement processes and complies with performance measures D. Attends and participates in all required administrative and clinical meetings E. Maintains accurate, timely, and complete clinical records in accordance with professional practice and VA administration guidelines F. Maintains data and statistical compilations to comply with accreditation bodies such as CARF and Joint Commission, and VA health care systems G. Participates in Social Work Professional Practice Evaluation processes ROLE-SPECIFIC TASKSA. The incumbent will respond to referrals from the Veterans Crisis Line as well as other staff referrals. The incumbent will develop an assessment of veterans at high risk for suicide in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team, the veteran, family members and significant others. The goal of the assessment is to highlight the veteran's strengths, limitations and internal/external support and service needs in order to optimize the veteran's functional status. It is the responsibility of the incumbent, working within the interdisciplinary treatment team, to develop a treatment plan with the veteran based on this assessment B. High Risk Flag maintenance - The incumbent is responsible for tracking the care of veterans with the Category I High Risk for Suicide Patient Record Flag assigned to their medical records C. The incumbent is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the options and services required to meet the needs of veterans at high risk for suicide. The incumbent will work effectively on behalf of the veteran both within the VA Health Care System and outside agencies to provide cohesive and comprehensive care D. Throughout the course of treatment, the incumbent is the subject matter expert on Suicide, VA Health Care System and/or community resources. The incumbent will collaborate with other service providers in reassessing the veteran's needs E.
