The primary purpose of this position is to perform unit flight services, scheduling unit airspace, manage flying hour execution program, manage aviation service data, flying history, and training data pertaining to all Rated/Non-Rated officers, Career Enlisted Aviators, and Parachutists.
Administers public law and regulations regarding aviation eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
CriticalResponsible for Flight Services, obtaining flight clearances, and validating required Flight Crew InformationFile (FCIF) and other Go-no-Go pre-flight data. Operates and maintains unit or group consolidated operationscenter. CriticalProvides technical guidance and expertise in the scheduling of the flying unit Special Use Airspace (SUA).
CriticalMonitors substantiating personnel listings, independently determines the status of incoming/outgoingPersonnel in Change of Station (PCS), Separation/Retirement, and Temporary Duty (TDY) status, andperforms a wide-range of aviation management duties. CriticalManages aviation resource programs, utilizing Ad-Hoc reports and the Centralized AF ARMS systems;monitors the resources and training requirements for mission accomplishment and safety of flight.
Initiatesactions to execute aviation management policy and procedures.
This position is with Air Education and Training Command, Department of the Air Force.
