This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

The incumbent must recognize deficits and problems which may be encountered in a diverse patient population with varying and complex medical and/or psychological problems in achieving satisfactory psychological adjustment. At GS 13 level, the following clinical activities are expected in the assignment for Staff Psychologists: Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care. Delivers patient care through WC and CVT when appropriate. These services include Evidence Based Therapy and psychological assessment. individual and group psychotherapy, psycho-educational interventions. cognitive testing, and general mental health. Provides a full range of psychological services including, Evidence based psychotherapy and cognitive, intellectual, achievement and personality assessment. Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Staff psychologists may be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities. Ensures a well-balanced, diversified and comprehensive program in order to maximize contributions by Psychologists and trainees assignment to clinical area. Consults with other health care providers and treatment teams regarding overall program planning and implementation. As a member of the treatment team. Participates in the decisions regarding treatment philosophy and operational procedures. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. 8:00am to 4:30pm. (Subject to change based on the need of the facility).
