The incumbent is fully qualified to practice as a psychologist and to provide inpatient, outpatient, and home-based care to the Veteran patients within the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center. Provides psychological treatment and services Knowledge of, and ability to apply, a wide range of professional psychological theories, evidence based therapies and assessment methods to a variety of patient populations.
Provides a full range of evidence based therapeutic interventions in group and individual formats Develops comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment strategies. Develops and documents clear treatment goals that are through, based in recovery and utilize symptom severity and intensity to inform treatment frequency. Develops and implements clinical procedures that balance clinical demand and therapeutic resources.
Provides psychological evaluation and assessment Performs evaluations of Veterans with a variety of psychological, mood and personality disorders' Performs consultation and training Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. May be involved in the training of medical students, medical and psychiatric residents, nursing students, fellows and other graduate or post-graduate trainees, as appropriate.
Participates in meetings, committees or projects as assigned. Attends and participates in organizational meetings, treatment planning meetings and assigned committees or project.
