Key Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a(n) Statistician (Health), you will: Design, and conduct, and coordinate complex epidemiologic and statistical research studies addressing organizational priorities and the health of the U.S. population, to include developing research questions, designing analytic approaches, and interpreting study findings.

Evaluate and ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency by developing and implementing quality-control procedures, identifying data limitations and inconsistencies, selecting appropriate methods for quality assessment, and developing and overseeing procedures to modify or improve data.

Represent the organization and communicate research findings to scientific and professional audiences through presentations at professional meetings and conferences, preparation of papers for publication and presentation, and collaboration with government, nongovernment, and other professional stakeholders.

Requirements & Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
