Job Summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Key Responsibilities

Leads NA-02 store workers in accomplishment of work. Relays instructions from supervisor. Gets work started. Sets work pace. Demonstrates work methods and provides work-related guidance. Ensures worksite materials and tools are available to complete work. Reports workplace injuries immediately to the immediate or higher-level supervisor, and to the Human Resources office in the absence of the immediate supervisor. Checks with supervisor on problems.

Checks on work and meets productivity goals. Ensures employees follow security, safety and housekeeping rules. Conducts on-the-job training and instructions. Performs supervisory duties in an emergency, or short-term and nonrecurring basis. May perform various duties in connection with loading, unloading, verifying of merchandise, in an Exchange store, storeroom and/or location. Loads and unloads merchandise; examines for damage or shortages.

Verifies type and quantity of merchandise received for agreement with documentation provided; brings to attention of supervisor discrepancies and/or deficiencies found. Assists in assembly and loading of merchandise in connection with requests received. Unpacks, segregates and stocks counters and/or shelves with merchandise in accordance with established Planogram (POG) instructions.

May be required to use RF devices in support of Planogram (POG) and shelf label execution at the store level. May price stamp merchandise. Assists in the conduct of periodic inventories by counting stock items remaining on shelves, and in keeping storage and sales area clean and orderly. Picks up empty boxes/containers from work areas using hand cart. Moves to assigned area for disposal. Operates a compactor machine to crush empty boxes.

Removes crushed boxes from machine and ties up for pickup by authorized vendor. May be required to perform such other duties as operating price tag machine, unloading boxes and packages, and pulling merchandise from stock or stock shelves. As required, assists customers in locating merchandise and answering questions of a general nature. May operate a cash register on an occasional basis.

May perform light custodial duties/ general housekeeping duties such as cleaning or dusting fixtures. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as required.
