Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Engineering Branch, Aviation Safety Division, Air Force Safety Center.

Key Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Engineering Branch of the Aviation Safety Division, ensuring the branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Represents the Air Force Safety Center with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Serves as Chief Engineer, Air Force Safety Center. Orchestrate and/or lead technical assessments of hazards & risks for systems & operations of interest to the Chief of Safety and other AF/DoD leadership.
