Job Summary

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

Key Responsibilities

This position is located in the Construction and Environmental Review Section, Facilities Management Branch (FMB), Administration Division, Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Supervises a project management team assigned the primary responsibility for the development of a number of new correctional institutions and/or detention centers.

Responsible for managing the planning, organizing, coordinating and execution of the many complex tasks which the planning, design and construction of these facilities. Oversees the development of the project management planning and technical guidelines for each project. Supervises the identification and organization of the activities and the staff required to implement the delivery of the assigned projects.

Oversee the development and monitoring of master and detailed budgets for construction, design services, construction management services, and staffing and overall project budgets. Supervises the review of architectural and engineering documents developed for the projects and gives final approval to the construction documents issued for each project.
