This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), Indirect Cost & Contract Audit Division. The incumbent will be responsible for managing, establishing, and implementing programs in support of the indirect cost rate function, and provides technical assistance to federal and non-Federal clients.
Reviews and approves negotiated indirect cost rates and supporting documentation for Tribal entities to ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines, consistency, accuracy, and cost reasonableness. Resolves indirect cost rate issues, such as the cost disallowance, and differences between the customer's indirect cost rate proposal vs. the government determined indirect cost rate. Leads a team of indirect cost rate negotiators. Evaluates staff performance, coaches, and guides the work of employees. Considers and responds appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of others. Serves as an indirect cost rate subject matter expert and consults with customers to assess their needs, provide technical assistance, and/or market services for new business opportunities. Develops and executes long range strategic planning objectives and actions plans to meet division priorities.
