The position is a Supervisory Budget Analyst within DHS, CBP Enterprise Services, Workforce Care Directorate. The role leads and coordinates the office's budget and acquisition needs and is recognized by senior ES and WCD leadership. The Workforce Care Directorate supports CBP employees and their families by providing resources related to well-being, mental health, family support, counseling, training, crisis support, and suicide prevention.
It also advises employees and local leadership on appropriate workforce care programs and services. This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Major duties include: Overseeing the planning, formulation, and execution of the Workforce Care Directorate (WCD) budget, ensuring alignment with CBP's strategic goals and objectives.
Providing expert-level administrative and technical advice to WCD management and CBP leadership regarding budgetary matters, pay and position analysis, and resource allocation. Managing the triple constraints of cost, schedule, and performance for acquisition programs, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and CBP policies.
Monitoring budget performance and contractor activities to identify variances, potential funding gaps, or performance issues, and implementing necessary corrective actions. Leading a team of budget analysts and administrative staff by setting priorities, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and identifying training and development needs.
