Job Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Concessions Management Specialist with National Park Service; Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

This position serves as the Supervisory Concessions Management in the park with a mix of large, extensive, highly complex and specialized concessions and many smaller concessions; and in addition, performs, oversees, and provides expert planning/programming advice related to analytical and operational work in support of the Commercial Services Program.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Assists with recruitment, hiring, and supervision of subordinate staff members. Provides leadership and direction, work planning, evaluation, equal employment practices and performance management.

Provides leadership and coordination for commercial services programs across Nevada Group Park units; develops division goals; oversees contract management, operational performance, and contract compliance; supports park-level commercial services planning; and coordinates development of prospectuses and new contracts. Analyzes financial and operational data (e.g.

Annual Financial Reports, statistics) of private industry commercial service providers to make decisions regarding ongoing operations, special projects, and overall direction of the commercial service oversight program.

Serves as the principal Nevada Group liaison with Regional and Washington Office Commercial Services programs, coordinating program direction, policy implementation, and complex or high-profile commercial services matters, and ensuring Nevada Group leadership is appropriately informed of significant business, financial, operational, compliance, and policy issues affecting commercial services.
