Job Summary

This position is located within the Division of Professional Services, Radiology Department of the Blackfeet Service Unit. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Key Responsibilities

Performs radiological examinations per request by the medical staff for use in clinical diagnosis, patient screening, monitoring patient therapy and status and other authorized purposes. Evaluates the nature of critical and emergency procedures and rearranges patient priorities to accommodate them.

Directly supervises the staff of the radiology department, plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work; assign work to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities of employees; evaluate work performance Keeps the Clinical Director, Medical Officers, Administrative staff and Area Consulting Radiologist informed of reports other required communications; assures the radiology equipment is properly maintained and repaired and all related areas are kept in a clean, neat, and in orderly condition

IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.
