At the full performance level of this position, you will: Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to promote an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment. Oversee and contribute to advances in environmental economics through research and related activities that strengthen the analytic basis for quantifying the benefits and costs of agency regulations.
Lead and direct economic, statistical, and other quantitative and qualitative analyses undertaken to inform regulatory and programmatic decisions. Build coalitions within EPA, across government, and with external partners to advance economic methods and support evidence-based decisions. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
Economist: You must have a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in economics with at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus; OR a combination of education and experience with courses equivalent to a major, as listed.
