Job Summary
The Bureau of Labor Statistics measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. This position is with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office of Field Operations, Dallas Regional Office, Division of Compensation and Occupational Requirements.
Key Responsibilities
This position is the Assistant Regional Commissioner for Division of Compensation & Occupational Requirements in the Dallas Regional Office and performs the following duties: Provides advice, counsel, and instruction to individual employees on performance and administrative matters; establish performance standards, evaluate performance, and rate subordinate employees.
Provides direction and oversight to the development and implementation of the national and regional workplans. Evaluates and recommends process improvements, workload, and resource allocations for the region. Plans, formulates, develops, and executes programs and policies to carry out the mission and objectives of BLS. Represents the Office of Field Operations on matrix teams which set operational priorities for the NCS and ORS programs.
