This position is located in the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO), Office of Enforcement. FHEO's mission is to eliminate housing discrimination, promote economic opportunity, and achieve diverse, inclusive communities by leading the nation in the enforcement, administration, development, and public understanding of federal fair housing policies and laws.

FHEO protects people from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, and familial status. The Office of Enforcement provides advice on matters related to enforcement and compliance under all fair housing and civil rights statutes enforced by the department.

As a Supervisory Equal Opportunity Specialist, you will: Manage the activities of the staff in their immediate office; including an Architect, program analyst, and subordinate divisions engaged in national fair housing enforcement and compliance activities Provide direction and oversight to the management of the Compliance and Disability Rights Division and Program Standards and Compliance Division.

Advise the Assistant Secretary General Deputy Assistant Secretary for FHEO, DAS for Enforcement and Programs, and ADAS for Enforcement and Compliance on the development and implementation of policies and regulations related to the enforcement of civil rights, fair housing and disability statutes.
