This vacancy is for a Supervisory Export Compliance Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.
As an Supervisory Export Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Plan, manage and direct major and continuing investigations/compliance programs which involve high-priority cases that are central to agency objectives; discharge complex investigative responsibilities. Develop, evaluate and implement significant new program strategies; analyze key policy questions in the investigation/compliance area and make significant agency decisions, policy recommendations and positions. Prepare overall export control trend reports for senior Bureau management assessing the level of industry compliance with various new policy initiatives; and present high level briefings; develops subject information/white papers; prepare and present staff actions and reports using multiple media formats; and provide input/recommendations for policy initiatives. Direct and manage a staff of compliance personnel in the investigations/compliance of case, agreements and or monitoring programs based on the compliance educational outreach efforts to the public.
