Job Summary
The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Financial Analyst in the Travel and Relocation Team, Office of Finance, Financial Services Division (FSD), United States Marshals Service (USMS). The incumbent serves as the Travel and Relocation Assistant Chief responsible for developing and implementing travel and relocation policies for the USMS and for conducting the respective trainings. This position is located in the Financial Services Division, Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supervisory Financial Analyst at the GS-0501-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversee the preparation of accruals and disbursement of funds for travel and relocation vouchers. Review and interpret changes in law, financial policies, and requirements to determine impact on financial programs and funding activities of the USMS.
Establish financial management internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable statutes or regulations. Exercise full supervisory authority over subordinate positions performing travel or relocation financial operations. Provide professional advice and technical guidance on travel and relocation financial policies, procedures, and systems.
