The position is located within a CPAC, organizationally aligned under the Chief Operating Officer, with the position serving as the Regional Revenue Manager (RRM) for VISNs and multiple VAMCs within the CPACs. The CPAC is a regionally consolidated business entity established to enhance revenue within VHA using an industry-best model.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Monitors that Veterans are credited for prescriptions filled at facilities for the purpose of the yearly co-payment cap by completing the Push Rx Copay Cap transaction. Exercises delegated personnel management authority for staff assigned under his/her purview. Adjusts for short-term priorities and deadlines.
Assigns work to Supervisory Facility Revenue Managers throughout the CPAC, based upon program priorities, subordinates' capabilities, and assignment requirements. Maintains standards for the performance, standardization, and consistency of work assigned to subordinate staff. Assesses the financial position of the revenue program and areas affecting revenue generation.
Develops and implements programs to effectively manage patient accounts, identify potential billable cases, and optimize collections. Performs auditing duties associated with either financial or operational audits of the revenue program and reviews the program's degree of compliance with sound fiscal internal control and quality management.
Advises and consults with counterparts and/or officials with higher authority concerning problems involving work in the revenue program and its' impact on education, training needs for staff. Prepares reports that identify noncompliance with regulations, inefficient operations, or improper practices and develops constructive recommendations for improvements within the audit segment.
Communicates frequently with Attorneys, legal offices and Regional Counsel regarding legal cases. Coordinates and manages daily operations of revenue functions at an assigned medical center. Performs quality reviews to ensure staff are completing workload accurately and timely based on acceptable standards. Participates in ad hoc meetings/committees/workgroups with Chiefs of Service, Administrative Officers, Department Heads, Compliance, Revenue.
Responsible for planning and organizing work assignments to the extent necessary to accomplish the objectives effectively and efficiently. They must ensure high quality by maintaining maximum performance. Monitors staff to ensure the quality of the program, detecting incipient problems and solving them expeditiously and improving operations with the goal of maximizing reimbursement/collections. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: May be available at supervisors discretion. Telework: This position may be authorized for ad hoc telework.
