Job Summary
About the Position: This position is located in the Engineering Department of Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay (JTF-GTMO) Cuba. Consideration will also be given to current Army employees with personal competitive status. Guantanamo Bay is an accompanied tour position. The initial length of this overseas tour is 2 years and may be extended to 5 years.
Separation Maintenance Allowance is not authorized, except in special circumstances when for extenuating reason, family cannot be on the island.
Key Responsibilities
Apply professional knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of engineering to solve facility related problems and to improve, construct, or support Naval Station and JTF-GTMO facilities.
Requirements & Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
