Key Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Health Scientist, you will: Direct and manage the operations of the Branch with primary responsibility for providing leadership and guidance to Branch staff, utilizing subordinate team leaders to direct, coordinate, or oversee work. Plan, develop, and implement the Branch's policy and program objectives, develop operating plans, and evaluate progress to ensure overall program plans are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Determine the allocation of human and financial resources for the Branch, assure compliance with related legal requirements, and execute administrative and personnel management responsibilities necessary to accomplish the mission.

Develop and maintain relationships among national public health, medical, and community-based organizations, government agencies, academic institutions, and state and local health departments, and coordinate program implementation, technical assistance, evaluation, legislative, policy, and resource activities.

Requirements & Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
