WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Health Scientist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Developing and promoting a comprehensive safety program for all CDC facilities to ensure high quality safety services and activities, proactive approaches to safety issues, and to meet national and international standards. Interpreting professional, legal and CDC policies focusing on solutions to laboratory safety issues and concerns. Providing expert advice and consultation to Laboratory Safety and CDC staff on occupational medicine matters in accordance with accepted medical standards of care. Developing scientific policies and procedures which pertain to the CDC Laboratory Safety Program and activities, and which have CDC-wide implications. Representing the agency and/or centers on scientific committees and work groups, providing epidemiological expertise to the design and implementation of complex analytic studies related to a specific health field.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
