The primary purpose of the Group Practice Manager (GPM) is to provide oversight, recommendations, and administrative data management of CRH services. The GPM measures and assesses clinical business activities with an emphasis on improving clinical product line performance. S/he supervises a team of five employees.
Veteran Experience Responsibilities - Central to the GPM's purpose of ensuring an exceptional Veteran patient experience is the development, standardization, implementation, and sustainment of key operational/business processes, including scheduling practices, to ensure efficient and effective management of the clinic.
The GPM will identify and recommend improvements to optimize clinic management processes, access strategies, and receive buy-in through an in-depth analysis of in-house and non-VA provided care. Programmatic Oversight - Lead local program planning and execution for VHA-approved program of clinic practice management at the assigned campus and CBOC level. Build local program to implement all national guidance.
The GPM is responsible for primary care, mental health, specialty care, ambulatory surgery and all other ambulatory clinics oversight and integration into an efficient Clinic Practice Management model at the VISN 5 CRH (HSA 5.1 and 5.4). The GPM is responsible for supporting high quality, accessible, cost-effective health care services.
The GPM is also responsible for ensuring a high-quality patient experience for the Veteran, by acting on feedback from the Veteran, his or her family and/or significant others, CRH employees, VISN and VAMC employees. In addition, the GPM works with the CRH Associate Director of Operations and CRH Leadership to develop strategic plans for the CRH and assigned facilities as it relates to access to care.
Work with local personnel to integrate data analytics and measures with continuous process improvement utilizing LEAN, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies to meet and sustain ambulatory care goals and objectives. Collect and analyze trended data sets to assist in the allocation of resources.
Identify causal interrelationships between the various aspects of ambulatory care and its impact on clinical operations to achieve and sustain quality, safe, efficient, and effective ambulatory care. Work independently with CRH leadership and personnel at the various VAMCs, CBOCs, and other facilities to implement national and VISN standards, and address administrative process/system issues and other areas of concern.
Work with Operations teams: Scheduling, Technology, Training and Program Support Teams to oversee services as they relate to clinic activities. Reviews and develops input and recommendations. Ensures record management guidelines are adhered to in the clinic setting.
Recommends and coordinates with the VISN CRH (HSA 5.1 and 5.4) leadership and covered health care systems on CRH services improvements with data-driven metrics including access to care, coding practices, utilization, clinic profile management.
