Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
Serves as the Chief, Human Resource (HR) Policy, Quality & Compliance, responsible for executive leadership and national oversight of two complementary program areas: (1) the HR Quality Control team, which conducts Bureau-wide audits, quality reviews, program evaluations, internal control assessments, and compliance measurement; and (2) the HR Policy & Compliance team, which develops HR policy, interprets regulatory requirements, administers compliance actions, maintains internal controls, and implements corrective actions derived from quality evaluation findings.
The Chief ensures both teams operate in a fully integrated manner, where empirical evaluative findings from Management and Program Analysts are translated into HR policy, procedural guidance, corrective action plans, and sustained compliance activities executed by HR Specialist staff.
Provides authoritative leadership to ensure Bureau HR policy remains current, legally sufficient, operationally feasible, and consistently applied across institutions, Regional Offices, and the Central Office.
