The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees
Key Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 1 AF/ A1K, ensuring that Military Personnel Division complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represents 1 AF with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Advises on and briefs proposed initiatives, new policies, and procedural revisions impacting command military personnel programs, including officer and enlisted promotions, evaluations, stratifications, decorations, assignments, rated manning, inbound and outbound processing, military vacancy announcements (MVAs) and STAT tour hiring panels.
Establishes Numbered Air Force (NAF) guidance and implements higher-headquarters policy governing officer and enlisted assignment processes, officer stratifications, promotions, higher-level federal decorations, the O-6 Gameplan, rated manning, requisitions, and the advertising and hiring of Air National Guard (ANG) Title 10 STAT tour personnel.
