As the Supervisory Industrial Hygienist, you will provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and final policy authority for the Center's comprehensive environmental, occupational health, and consumer safety programs.
Directs and authorizes Center-wide IH (Industrial Hygiene), HP (Health Physics), and Occupational Health programs and serves as final authority on federal regulatory compliance and strategic workplace safety policies.
Basic Requirement: You must have successfully completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or related science. OR Have successfully completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree that included a major in engineering, physical science, or life science that included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combination of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostatistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene. OR Certification from the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (formerly American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH)). U.S. degrees must have been awarded from colleges or universities that are accredited by recognized accrediting organizations.
