The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first-level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over 390th Cyberspace Operations Squadron cyber mission forces non-supervisory personnel. Position provides guidance to and oversight of Operations Intelligence and Analysis & Production missions.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of a 390 COS cyber mission/support team, ensuring that Cyber Effects Operations (CEO) comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. - Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. - Represents the 390 COS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with counterparts throughout the Intelligence Community (IC), to include NSA Target Offices of Primary Interest (TOPIs), NSA/CSS-Texas Site Leads, USCYBERCOM, Combatant Command (COCOM) J2 elements, major commands (MAJCOMs), Air Staff, Department of Defense (DOD), the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA),other national agencies and congressional staff members; as well as foreign intelligence partners. - Serves as senior advisor on intelligence production, IW, CEO and ISR issues. Sets policy and procedures within inherent responsibilities of the position.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
