Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Quantitative Integrated Analysis Flight.

Key Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and directs the highly scientific & technical intelligence analysis activities of the Quantitative Integrated Analysis Flight requiring knowledge and application of intelligence analysis & tradecraft, engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques; ensures the Flight complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.

Represents NASIC, directs and/or participates as a subject matter authority in various advisory committees, technical review boards, and/or other meetings related to area of expertise and intelligence analysis & production; and may participate in relevant technical committees, conferences and symposia sponsored by DoW, national level agencies, allied partners, or private sector activities. Accomplishes short and long-term planning to meet flight goals.

Conceives and develops plans for both short and long-range projects intended to satisfy customer requirements; improves the Flight's foundational engineering methodologies and analytic tools; and provides predictive intelligence analysis.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
