This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.
As a Supervisory International Relations Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Plan, manage, and supervise resources effectively to provide required product and services. Ensure with Division Director that the budget is executed efficiently and effectively. Monitor and ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and procedures. Coordinate with National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) headquarters, offices, and centers to develop partnership strategies and negotiate agreements to meet National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) mission requirements. Provide guidance on U.S. and foreign national space, Earth observation and science and technology policies. Monitor and coordinate U.S. interagency activities involving environmental satellite and data policies. Supervise an internal Division team. As a supervisor, plan and distribute work to be accomplished by subordinates. Set and adjust short and long-term priorities. Prepare schedules for the completion of work and find ways to improve the quality of the work. Provide technical oversight instruction. Give advice, counsel or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
