Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
This position is located in the Investigations Division, Hotline Operations Branch. If you are selected as the Supervisory Investigative Specialist (Director of Hotline Operations), your responsibilities would include the following: Directs the operation of the OIG Hotline Program. Provides program management oversight and serves as the technical and policy subject matter expert in the area of investigative complaint programs.
Supervises the complaint intake group and directs the handling of complaints involving allegations of waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement within DOJ programs and operations. Coordinates the drafting of responses to controlled correspondence from Congress, Federal, and state government officials, and other public officials directed to DOJ, the OIG, or the Investigations Division.
Represents the DOJ/OIG in briefings or meetings, and provides updates related to Hotline operations verbally and in writing. Utilizes automated tracking systems for reviewing and analyzing non-jurisdictional complaints. Conducts inquiries and analyses into allegations considered highly sensitive or extremely complex. Recommends follow-up steps to ensure the matters are being handled appropriately and recommend additional steps to senior staff.
Processes investigative reports for dissemination to the DOJ components, implements changes to this program as needed, and communicates changes impacting headquarters and Division field locations accordingly. Works closely with the Office of Data Analytics to ensure Investigations Division data analysis is being interpreted correctly.
