THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/NETWORK), Position Description Number D2330000 and is part of the KS 184 Wing, National Guard.
As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/NETWORK), GS-2210-13, you will exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO objectives.
Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards. Explains performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses. Holds employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments. Appraises subordinate workers performance ensuring consistency and equity in rating techniques. Recommends awards when appropriate and approves within-grade increases.
Hears and resolves employee complaints and refers serious unresolved complaints to higher level management. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

Degree Required: An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is mandatory.
The degree must be in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services with desired courses in Computer Engineering; Engineering Physics/Applied Physics; Industrial Engineering; Electromechanical Engineering; Electrical, Electronics and Communications; Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology; Cyber/Electronics Operations and Warfare; Mathematics and Computer Science; Accounting and Computer Science; Computational Science; and Management Information Systems; or Mathematics.
A graduate degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services is optimum. Based on the Cyberspace Operations mission requirements and directed tasks, along with the strict Information Assurance Management Certification requirements for the GS-2210 Cyber Program Dual Status Technician positions, no substitutions of Education for Specialized Experiences are allowed for any reason or purpose.
