Job Summary
This position serves as a Supervisory IT Specialist that provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all the responsibilities of the Office.
Participating Institute/Centers for this recruitment include: - National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) - Office of Research Services (ORS) - Center for Information Technology (CIT) - National Institute of Biomedical Imaging & Bioengineering (NBIB) - National Institute on Aging (NIA)- National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
Key Responsibilities
Serve as an adviser and technical consultant on the Institute's Information Technology (IT). Lead the information flow to and from leadership, governance, and steering committee bodies. Participate in planning deliberations and decisions concerning the allocations and utilization of information technology resources. Oversee the responsibilities for planning, coordinating, and directing the development, implementation, and operation of IT infrastructure and systems.
Responsible for ensuring customers throughout NIH programs are adequately served. Provide leadership, direction, and coordination to the IC's management and staff in its work with other NIH institutes and centers, other agencies, and outside organizations. Responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO) by taking positive steps to assure the accomplishment of affirmative action.
