The Supervisory Medical Instrument Technician (Vascular) position is located in the Vascular Lab, within Surgical Service, at the Jesse Brown VAMC. The Supervisory MIT (Vascular) serves as the Supervisor in the Vascular Lab, directing day-to-day work and evaluating the performance of the Medical Instrument Technicians (Vascular). Administrative duties are also expected in this role.
Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties: Oversee of the lab and performing the full range of vascular ultrasound procedures including the most complex and non-routine and to make appropriate adjustments in established procedures and techniques to obtain the results required for clinical diagnosis and documentation. Plan and organizes work within the lab as to meet local and VA-wide standards. Perform routine and stat non-invasive vascular testing on patients who are seen as inpatients and outpatients. Perform diagnostic examinations or medical treatment procedures as part of the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Supervise the Vascular Lab, directing day-today work and evaluating the performance of the Medical Instrument Technicians (Vascular). Ensure productivity is maintained at the established level for the program for which he/she is responsible. Perform other duties as assigned.
