This position provides leadership, direction, and technical expertise in the planning, development implementation and evaluation of delivery of nursing services to maintain continuity of comprehensive nursing care at Gallup Indian Medical Center. Incumbent provides direct supervision in Walk-In Primary Care Clinic. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Supervisory Clinical Nurse (SCN), exercising specific responsibility to assure that nursing care is provided, and for accomplishment of work planning, work direction and work performance evaluation. Manage the clinical unit by providing adequate unit staffing, unit organizational functions, unit safety (a safety management program is in place) and Branch communications (unit meetings are planned and information is disseminated to the staff).
Maintain competency in current nursing skills, knowledge, practices, procedures, leadership and management knowledge and abilities. Perform nursing care duties as needed to maintain nursing skills and to cover staffing shortages. Performs professional assessment on all ages of patients.
