Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Professional Responsibility, Security Operations Directorate; Personnel Security Division located in Washington D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
The purpose of this position is to serve as the first-line supervisor (Branch Chief) responsible for directing and managing a major CBP-wide segment of the Personnel Security Program as the principal authority for the development, issuance, and enforcement of personnel security policies, standards, and procedures. This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10) The Major Duties for this position are listed below but not limited to: Setting overall objectives and goals for the branch, determining resources, assignments, and needs. Planning, directing, and executing all programs under the purview of the branch. Reviewing new policies, processes, procedures, and guidance for potential impact on staff and provides/obtains related training for staff.
