This position is located in the Division of Clinical Services, Pharmacy Branch, of the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Supervisory Pharmacist, managing clinical pharmacy services, personnel processes, quality improvement programs, and pharmacy operations. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Directs the Pharmacy Program oversees all functions and services of the department. Coordinates written directive addressing decisions and compliance with administrative policies and procedures; creates and updates policies and procedures on a regular basis.
Ensures the unit meets all accreditation standards set forth; specially assures that regulatory compliance, infection control measures, pharmacy controls, environment of care and credentialing standards and elements are met. Manages financial and budgetary matters relating to the pharmacy including procurement, acquisition and billing issues. Oversees coordinates, plans, organizers, implements and evaluates the work unit.
Provides direct pharmaceutical services to all patients.
