This position serves as the Supervisory Physician (Family Medicine) Chief of Staff at Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center, Zuni, New Mexico. The incumbent reports to the Clinical Director. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Obtains medical histories, performs physical examination; orders appropriate laboratory, radiographic and other diagnostic studies. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Provides medical care to patients of all ages in the urgent care/emergency room, outpatient clinic, community clinic, inpatient service and obstetrical unit. Manages emergency room patients, low-risk obstetrical patients and refers unusual difficult or complex cases to appropriate specialist. Provides administrative and technical supervision of assigned staff.
Plan and assign work, develop and evaluate performance, approve/deny leave, provide advice and counsel, resolve complaints, take and recommends appropriate disciplinary and personnel actions. Directs the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations and Focused Professional Practice Evaluations for the medical staff. Ensures medical staff participation in ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
