Job Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Program Coordinator with National Park Service. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement policy, strategy, and standards, as well as provide professional expertise and technical assistance for all youth and volunteer programs and services throughout the National Park Service, including but not limited to the government-wide digital platforms, national youth and intern programs, and youth and volunteer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provides leadership, strategically plans, and assigns work to be accomplished by youth and volunteer work teams by setting goals, establishing, evaluating, and adjusting priorities, and analyzing work performance. Work includes setting service wide standards, policy, and processes for youth and VIP Program.

Oversees and manages a government-wide service-based platform to meet the needs of internal operations, multiple agencies, and participating public (youth and volunteers). Manages multiple complex and large-scale projects incorporating multiple needs and perspectives and applying technical expertise and analysis to assure successful completion.

Develops and implements a strategic communication plan to reach both internal and external stakeholders while collaborating with leadership, coworkers, other directorates and workgroups, parks, regions and partners. Serves as the senior advisor to leadership on youth and volunteer policy, management, safety, and operational expertise for youth and volunteer management in the NPS. Is a leader in the industry and understands trends, philosophies, and implementation.
