This senior program management and acquisition position is part of the Department of War (DoW), Missile Defense Agency (MDA) responsible for overseeing program cost, schedule, performance, and risk management while directly reporting progress to SES and Flag/General Officers.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
As a Supervisory Program Manager at the NH-0340-4 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Directs program-level documentation and execution controls; leads Risk and Opportunity Management frameworks to mitigate cost, schedule, and performance variances, while delivering strategic, decisive briefs to senior SES and Flag/General Officers.
Serve as the principal authority and coordinator for the program's official responses to the DoW, GAO, and Congressional inquiries, safeguarding the program's reputation and funding. Manage programmatic activities to define the technical requirements and execute acquisition documentation; oversee current-year budget execution and formulates future-year resource requests within the MDA POM and PPBE.
Evaluate, approve, and synchronize acquisition documents for internal and strategic communications to ensure operational alignment among Agency leadership, other government Agencies, and prime contractors. Analyze financial and acquisition strategies and recommend courses of action to keep programs on or ahead of schedule; enforces "Giver-Receiver" integration baseline by defining clear delivery dates, key performance metrics, and technical interfaces.
