Job Summary
This position is located in the Office of Patent Examination Support Services (OPESS), the central focal point for critical support functions across multiple aspects of the patent examination process. This position manages and ensures the delivery of centralized administrative and program assistance services that enable supervisory and patent examining staff to focus on the agency's mission work.
Key Responsibilities
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. Participate in developing goals and objectives that integrate program support functions and services with Patent management objectives. Direct and oversee division operations to ensure that requests for assistance and service are accomplished in a consistent, timely, and accurate fashion, comply with patent regulations and operating procedures, and adhere to customer requirements and/or instructions.
Participate in planning and executing information campaigns and in developing content and written materials (electronic messages, fliers, fact sheets, etc.), to communicate the division message about its functions and services.
