Key Responsibilities
As External Communications Section Lead, plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the organization's related Public Affairs programs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Oversees the execution of a comprehensive external communications program integrating media relations, social media, community engagement, interaction with local, state, federal, interagency, and international officials, command information as required, visual information as required, communication planning, contingency/crisis response, special event planning, security and policy review, and Public Affairs resource management elements.
Represents the office with a variety of installation and local governmental, public, civic, service, industry, educational, and media organizations.
