The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Youth Center Director in planning and administering the base dependent youth program involving a variety of recreation-related activities; such as, coordinating overall programming, fundraisers, teen camps, employment and other special interest camps, seminars, workshops, parties, and field trips.
Plans and implements events and activities that promote an appreciation for fine arts and cultural awareness; including field trips to galleries, museums, concerts, etc.
Conducts on-going formal and informal youth needs assessments to plan for future needs Performs oversight of all program operations and activities to ensure they comply with DoD, AF and local policies Develops appropriated and non-appropriated fund budget input and assists with preparing justification for funding of program resources, requirements and repairs/maintenance of facilities and equipment Supervises a staff of 5-15 NAF Recreation Aids (NF-Is) working at or in training for a level equivalent to GS-189-03
