Job Summary

About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Facility on Patrick SFB, FL. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 35-40 per week. Position includes benefits such as: Health and Life Insurance, Retirement and 401K.

Key Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists the Outdoor Recreation Manager in planning, developing, managing, and supervising a comprehensive and complex Outdoor Recreation (ODR) and Auto Skills Center (ASC) operation in accordance with applicable Department of War (DOW) and local guidance. Serves as the Activity Manager in his/her absence.

Is directly responsible for the economic and efficient management of the day-to-day operation of the ODR and ASC operations to include scheduling of personnel and resources in order to maintain maximum availability of equipment, facilities, services, and programs to customers.

Ensures all forms of customer communication to include phone calls, emails, signage, social media, and website are professional, timely, and targeted to the overall success of the operation and customer needs. Responds to customer concerns/complaints within one business day and strives to resolve conflicts immediately or elevate to the ODR Manager or higher leadership as necessary. Maintains sound data collection processes and compiles responds as directed.

Serves as the alternate equipment custodian and facility manager and ensures strict compliance with inventory/property and facility management regulatory requirements. Manages currency of the Management internal Compliance Tool (MICT) checklists as directed. Serves as the safety officer and maintains a safety program IAW regulatory requirements.

Identifies training requirements and executes a comprehensive and timely OJT training program for all staff to ensure they achieve and maintain KSA proficiency. Monitors Contractor performance and ensures adherence to contract terms. Performs monthly facility inspections and reports and tracks discrepancies to closure IAW regulatory requirements.

Ensures a comprehensive equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement plan is in place and actively in use IAW manufacturer's recommendations. Monitors the point-of-sale function and performs administrative duties including but not limited to assistance with NAF/APF purchasing, daily financial business and environmental management. Performs the full array of personnel supervisory and management duties IAW regulatory guidance.

Establishes and/or maintains an internal performance management system and employee recognition program to ensure proper work assignment and to maximize employee job success and morale. Operates a government vehicle as needed. Participates in the preparation and execution of recreation programs and basewide events as directed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
