This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Candidates with Advanced degrees for Scientific and Engineering Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as Chief of the Research Unit responsible for planning, organizing, and managing research and development (R&D). R&D is conducted in broad areas of advanced behavioral and social science that enhance the Soldier Lifecycle.

Prepare integrated research and development plans to ensure timely and efficient execution of core research program and customer programs that enhance current and future Army capabilities and mission requirements.
