The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first-level supervisor providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Information Security and Operations Division.
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the NASIC Information Security and Operations Division ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Provides direct management and oversight in the development of goals and objectives that integrate organization and division security objectives. DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements. Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.
DUTY 3: As a NASIC Information and Operations Security expert, protects the Center from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security. Develops/implements local security instructions and maintains all applicable DoD, AF, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), regulations and instructions.
DUTY 4: Makes Personnel security risk assessments and risk management/mitigation strategies/recommendations based on intelligence-derived threat issues that require deviations from or synthesis of policies that can have national implications. Applies innovative techniques as most risks cannot be pre-defined and remain broadly generic.

The posted pay range is $130461 – $169604/yr.
